The name "Kwanza" comes from the Swahili word for "First".

On Saturday September 28th 2019, Kwanza became the first captive bred "Golden" Uromastyx Dispar, dispar to hatch in the USA.

Kwanza was the very last egg and the only one to make it out of a clutch of 24.
